After learning the ropes with Red Brick Properties in New York City, Ben returned home to Singapore in 2010 and founded The Bamboo Group, a boutique real estate investment and development company focusing on the acquisition and conversion of shop houses and small buildings.
The Bamboo Group’s portfolio includes APATO - simple studio living for young professionals, The Bamboo House - hostel accommodation for students and now, The Working Capitol.
Trained as an Anthropologist, YC started his career as a researcher in User-Experience Design, leading design thinking workshops in collaboration with the Singapore National Library board and was the lead UX Designer for the interior design of Singapore Airlines Silver Kris lounge.
He later joined the construction industry, managing commercial construction projects and subsequently led the company’s residential development projects.
In 2014 YC joined The Bamboo Group as a Director and project manages the build and design of all properties. He also co-owns Kilo Lounge, which he designed and built himself.
A foundation in Branding taught Saranta the importance of creating brand experiences for customers to interact with and form relationships. She worked on bringing to life various touchpoints across the hospitality, FMCG and financial sectors.
In 2013, Saranta went to Myanmar and immersed herself in the startup scene, providing market entry consultancy services and facilitating networking opportunities.
Passionate about enabling collaboration and empowering individuals with inspiring and enriching content, Saranta leads all Community & Programming activities at The Working Capitol.
